Here is a reasonable priced option to building a 3.8m ALES/F5J woodie wing model.
A person could easily use a CLM-Pro pod and boom and purchase plans for the "What's New Mk2".  Brian Austin the designer/pilot is having great success against the molded models in the UK League.  He's even winning at times against a good friend of mine there who is a really good pilot!
