Congrats to the USA team on a solid finish. I was following the drama on RCG. It looked like some <ahem> highly variable & challenging conditions. 
Mostly congrats to Jon. What a huge accomplishment. I can't think of a more deserving individual.

Congratulations to the F5J USA team for taking third place in the first ever FAI F5J World Championship!

Congratulations to Jon Garber for making the flyoffs against the best pilots in the world.  Jon ended up seventh overall against pilots who have won multiple RC Soaring championships all across Europe, or European Championships in F3B, F3J, F3K, or other disciplines.  There were 109 pilots from over 35 countries competing, each country sent their best three pilots.
