<div class="">Pretty good day today despite the thunder storms.
Several of us managed to get in some practice flying in the
early afternoon. I teamed up with Guy Russo from Iowa and we
timed landings for each other. The year Jon won the NATS he
helped Guy with his airplane and power setup, and Guy ultimately
finished second! Guy is a very accomplished pilot and LSF V, so
I was able to glean a few things from him. They shot some video
of us flying, so maybe we will be included in one of the NATS
News shows????</div>

<div class="">I was flying the heavier green Euphoria today and it
performed well in the 15 - 20 MPH winds this afternoon. Flying
for the day ended with an absolute cloudburst about 4 PM. Lots
of flooded streets in Muncie tonight!</div>

<div class="">Forecast still is wet for tomorrow and Sunday, but
winds look flyable. It will be interesting to see if we are
able to get in 3 complete rounds for a legal contest. All
pilots are in good spirits, enjoying the company and fellowship.
Pilots meeting at 8:45 and first flight up at 9:00 sharp
tomorrow. Here we go! ;^ )</div>

Arrived Muncie this evening and checked
into the motel. <span style="font-size:

Billings. Very nice here this
evening, but forecast does not look
too promising. Major rain events and
thunderstorms packing heavy rain and
wind are forecast for tomorrow,
Saturday and Sunday. I drove through
some of what’s headed this way today
in eastern Iowa. It was nasty! They
were having tornadoes there late this
afternoon. We will see what happens.
