Thought I’d let you know I’m still alive. My buddy snapped a pic of my Ultima launch as evidence. Seems like the summer just blew by for some reason. Hopefully pandemic matters will return to something resembling normal in 2022. Lack of practice is correlating to my flying skills. I did, however build a Vortex DLG & ventured into flying that this summer. I’m a complete noob but enjoying the new learning experience. Much respect for F3K type flying that’s for sure. I kind of enjoy the freedom of throwing but my bum shoulder is letting me know about it. Holding off on F5K conversion until I exhaust this jumbo box of online steroids from Olympics-R-Us! It was 32° so it was gone by 9AM Fri.<span class=apple-converted-space> </span><br><br>Sometimes I wish the weather around here was like S. Cali or PHX in the winter so we could fly year around. I've storage charged all my LiPos and started thinking about what to build over the winter. I know I'm finally going to put together my Vortex 2 DLG into a F5K (motorized) fuselage. But that's not going to take all winter.<br><br>I'd like to put together a twisty wing for slope soaring, but I have yet to find a suitable slope within 30 min. driving time of Kalispell. Lots of slopes. Lots of trees. WAY too many trees.
