Yea, I think that’s right. When I made the MESS club it was just for the FRIA reason. This will also help get a higher altitude than 400’ once it’s all set in place. The only worry I have for your field is the proximity to Columbus
airport and perhaps they may balk at a 2,000’ ceiling.

<span style="font-size:12.0pt;font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">Just read an AMA article about the new FAA UAS registration stuff. Looks to me that we need to set up a "CBO' - community based organization so we can have a FRIA - Federal
Recognized Identification Area. They have yet to define a CBO nor the method to get a FRIA. AMA says they are planning to apply for FRIAs for AMA sanctioned clubs once the FAA gets its head out of..To me this means that we need to set up a club or be an
annex to the Flying Mustangs. Some possible names come to mind, Columbus Ultimate Soaring Society Easy Relaxed Sages, or maybe Original Lucky Dedicated Fragile Ales Retired Turd Scroungers. Well, anyhow, I think were gonna have to do something along those
lines. If I understand correctly you don't need the identification module in your model if it's line of sight. I nominate Carl for President and Treasurer. I don't think this is gonna go away.
