[MT-ALES] “That time we lost one KC-135 tanker over the Atlantic while returning from Red Flag Alaska”

This quote got me:  "In my opinion, this mission is the perfect example how discipline, professionalism, team work and training may be the keys to success.”

Hard to imagine the tension, all the what-if’s that could screw up all that intricate planning!  These guys were so good!

Must have been fun in some respects.

I’ve been fortunate to have ridden in the fueling bubble of a KC-135 fueling F16's over the Mojave Desert.  Pretty exciting!
