Carl. I wound up selling my Heron that I was going to use for sloping. So now I’m thinking about building a Dream Flight Ahi. Since I’m not familiar with the sites, my inclination is to leave my RV at home and get a motel somewhere. Can you send me Bob’s email and I’ll contact him for the Hampton Info. Thanks.
Do you have good sloping sites near Billings? I might come over before the big event and do some test flying and trimming with you…and discuss what stuff to bring to Soar Utah for a day or two of flying.

We plan to arrive September 1, staying at the Hampton Inn Thanksgiving Point. It is right near the main slopes! We will check out September 5. Bob has the info for reservations. Dry camping is also available at Point of the Mountain South.

There is also usually an aerotow/electric launch thermal soaring event out on the salt flats on Friday. On Monday the sloping moves to Francis Peak. This is a spectacular venue with big lift overlooking the Great Salt Lake and mountain ranges to the west. Photos attached.

It’s good sportsmanship to not pick up lost golf balls while they are still rolling.
