[MT-ALES] OLDFARTSS October event

Thank you for this notice - I got it.
Here is the WINDY Premium forecast for Columbus as of this moment. Brisk, to put it mildly.

 The October event is planned for Saturday, October 11.  Tentatively we are planning to hold the contest at the club field, Edwards’ airstrip, just west of Columbus, MT.  Pilot’s meeting at 9:30, with round #1 to start shortly thereafter.
Anticipating cooler temperatures, we will fly ALES5J, allowing higher launches than the Cali ALES.  If you use a standard CAM, the launch may be set to 100, 150, or 200 meters.  You may change during the event if desired.  Folks using an F5J CAM just fly as normal.
Current weather predictions are for a bright seasonally temperate day, with wind speeds rising to 14 mph by 1:45.  Gusts predicted from 15 - 25 mph over same time period.  We will monitor conditions and announce a go/no go decision Friday morning.
